Just this past weekend, my husband & I hosted the appetizer course of our church high school students’ holiday progressive dinner. After our appetizers, they proceeded to another house for salads, another for the main course, and a final house for desserts and gift exchange.
Knowing that they had an entire evening of food to look forward to, I didn’t want to serve a lot of heavy, filling appetizers. Instead, I had cheese & crackers, tortilla roll ups, sausage balls, and these fruit kabobs with dip. I must say, these little fruit kabobs were my personal favorite. I used toothpicks as the base. Then on each toothpick, I placed one grape, one pineapple chunk, and one piece of strawberry. They were the perfect size finger food that the kids could dip into this yummy sweet mixture!
It doesn’t get any easier than this fruit dip. With just two ingredients and being totally delicious, it was a perfect dip to serve with my little kabobs!
- 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
- 7 ounce jar marshmallow cream
- Fresh fruit (I used strawberries, pineapple, & red/green/black grapes)
