Candy recipes can be quite complicated. Often you have to use a candy thermometer to bring the mixture to just the right temperature, cook just the perfect amount of time, and even pay attention to the weather. Some recipes fail if the humidity is too high! Talk about fussy!
Fortunately, there are SO many great recipes that are truly fuss-free. This toffee is one of those. With just four ingredients and 15 minutes or so, you can have a super delicious candy that friends & family will love!
- 1 cup nuts, chopped (pecans or walnuts)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Butter an 8×8 inch pan.
Spread nuts on the bottom of the pan.
On medium heat, bring butter and sugar to a boil and boil for 7 minutes.
Spread into the pan.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
Let the chocolate chips melt for a few minutes, then spread evenly over the top.
Let it cool before cracking into pieces.
