I’m completely enamored by Red Lobster’s Cheddar Biscuits. Seriously, who needs an entree? Just keep bringing out the bread.
This is the best copycat recipe I’ve found to date. Quick and easy to make, soft in the middle with a crispy exterior, and topped in garlic butter, these biscuits are fantastic.
- 2 cups reduced fat Bisquick
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- Parsley for garnish
Preheat the oven to 400 °F.
Combine the Bisquick, buttermilk, and cheddar cheese in a medium bowl. Mix by hand until well combined.
Prepare a baking sheet with cooking spray or foil and spoon the dough into 12 equal portions (about 3 tablespoons each). Flatten each biscuit a bit with your fingers.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to brown.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, microwave the butter for about 30 seconds. Add garlic salt and powder and mix to combine. Brush a light coating over the top of each biscuit immediately after removing them from the oven.
Sprinkle parsley over the top of each biscuit.
