Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Awwww…I love the combination of flavors in this sweet  & salty little bite.  Bacon wrapped smokies make the perfect appetizer for get-togethers with friends and family.  If the bacon wasn’t enough to draw you in on its own, that bacon is covered with brown sugar which caramelizes in the hot oven.  They’re SO good!

You can make these ahead of time and pop in the oven just before serving.  You’ll definitely want them hot, so when I recently took them to a gathering of friends, I put the finished smokies in a warm crock pot to transport. Also, don’t forget to line your baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.  That pan will be SO much easier to clean up from the bacon grease and cooked sugar if you’ll remember that little step.

With just three ingredients that are easy to have on hand or kept in the freezer, these little appetizers are always a crowd pleaser!
